As the show went on, Pink performed and did a good job, and literally got people wet. But anyways off of that subject, the Black Eyed Peas did great ; it’s good to know that their back. The Record of the Year was taken by The Kings of Leon a new-coming rock band. Instead of the highly anticipated songs by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. Later on, Jamie Foxx and T-Pain appeared with what looked like a pirate outfit. What I didn’t understand is why at the end of the performance, T-Pain says: “Sorry about the auto tune Jay-Z.” Honestly, if you (T-Pain) have been using auto tune before Jay-Z made this “Death of Autotune” statement, why are you apologizing? if anything it should be Jay-Z who apologizes. Don’t be afraid of him. I don’t care if he makes the most records in history, he’s no one to be afraid of, regardless. Well it’s official, country music took over the Grammy’s.The Michael Jackson tribute was excellent. With Celine Dion, Usher, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood , and Jennifer Hudson performing “Earth Song” was amazing. When Paris and Prince came out to accept Michael’s award, you can till see the sadness in both their eyes. The good thing is that they were strong for their father’s sake. Jay-Z took the award for best rap/sung collaboration, for Run This Town with Rihanna and KanYe West. Finally, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Eminem performed a blend of “Drop The World” and I Want This Forever. The last award for album of the year, went to Taylor Swift as it shows, she was the “Queen of the Grammy’s”. As it appeared, KanYe West was a no-show, as well were Trey-Songz, Mariah Carey and Chris Brown. Ah well. Overall, this year’s Grammy’s were okay. On a scale of 1 to 10 , it was an 8. Hopefully next year will be better.

Now you know I had to post about the Grammy’s right? LOL. But anyway, Lady Gaga opened the awards did a good job by the way, performing with Elton John. The first award went to Beyoncé for album of the year (KanYe got his wish didn’t he lol). The host they chose however for it, he was a bore. Can you say #FAIL ? As the show went on, the question was on if Beyoncé will break the record of grammy awards won in one night with her ten nominations. As the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson as well as guitarist Carlos Santana both hold the record for 8 grammys won in one night. We will sure find out later on, stay tuned ! 🙂

Trina makes an adoption decision

It has now been said that Miami-based rapper Trina is looking to adopt a child from Haiti. After the recent 7.0 earthquake which took an estimated one-third of the country’s population, and has also left countless children orphaned. The 32-year rapper said in an interview, “With the current state that Haiti is in right now, I personally feel like donating monetary and physical possessions is an enormous and vast donation; however, I would like to contribute on a higher level for more personal reasons like being ready to raise/nurture a child and by being involved on a day-to-day basis.” Trina also stated that she has family in Haiti, and thought that adopting a child from there would bring them to a better life in the states. Well the question i have for you all is this: Is it a Publicity Stunt? Or is it sincere?

PETA vs. ‘Kamber’

KanYe West and Amber Rose were spotted with these furry ensembles during Paris’s Fashion Week. Of course, PETA had a heart attack. This to which was quoted by PETA Vice President ,Dan Matthews by using lyrics from one of KanYe’s songs All Falls Down “..The prettiest people do the ugliest things, For the road to riches and diamond rings…” West apparently lives by his lyrics. The ethical dropout—who horrified voters in PETA’s Worst-Dressed Celebrity competition last year—and his sleazy sidekick, Amber Rose, were snapped by paparazzi strutting around Paris in “the ugliest things,” indeed. Both were wearing head-to-toe fur, and Amber refused to remove her full-length lynx coat during a show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
As PETA V.P. Dan Mathews continued to say “KanYe can’t help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.” Honestly , PETA shouldn’t be surprised with KanYe and/or Amber’s choice in fashion. Oh well , that’s life.

Well I know I’m super late with this report…School = Stress ; which also equals Madness as most people know LOL 😛 ; but anyways here’s the recent news. As I mentioned in the previous post, Haiti’s death toll according to the Haitian government ; has now been confirmed as 150,000. However, it is said that there are several hundred thousand more missing. The Hope for Haiti benefit concert, has now raised over 16 million from the Canada version ; which according to Canadian Prime minister Stephen Harper, the maximum amount they are trying to raise is 50 million dollars (Yay For Canada!) In addition, France has raised 6.8 million by doing their own version of the benefit called ‘Ensemble for Haiti’. The New York and London parts have not yet disclosed the amount they made, but as sources say they have made well over 2 million dollars. It’s good to know that we can still all come together and help others in need.

2010

Heyy everyone, Happy Belated New Year. The 00’s decade is officially over; and the ’10s decade has begun.

To start this year off, as we all know, Haiti has been hit by a 7.0 Earthquake. As of January 13, the death toll is unknown; however the prime minister, Michele Duvivier Pierre-Louis; says that there is an estimated 100,000 dead. After the said earthquake, there have been a reported 20 tremors. If you would like to help out the cause in Haiti, you can Text “YELE” to 501501 ($5 to Wyclef’s charity) , or text the word ‘HAITI” to 90999 ($10 to Red Cross) My thoughts and prayers are with Haiti at this time so I’ll try 2 keep updated with the latest on what’s going on. But here’s my question: Why does it take an earthquake for people to realize what happens in the world?

Another Crazy Week

Hey guys sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve just been so busy with school and whatnot. But anyways, here’s what went down this week.
We all know about the whole Tiger Wood’s drama and for those who don’t ; on Friday November 27, professional golfer Tiger Woods crashed his car into a fire hydrant just across the street from his Florida home. His wife, Elin Nordegren used a golf club to bash the back window of his SUV and got him to safety. He’s okay right now but thats not the end to this story. Rumors surfacing that he had an alledged affair with club hostess Rachel Uchitel. According to the Orlando Senitel; the mistress count has been upped to three. Including Los Angeles hostess Jaimee Grubbs, and another woman named Kalika Moquin. This goes to show that you can never keep your life private as a celebrity (with the exception of a certain few).
Fast forward to December 4th. Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts did a long awaited interview on R&B sensation Chris Brown about what happened with then-girlfriend, Pop-singer Rihanna. When asked if Rihanna had heard his song “Changed Man,” Chris responded that Rihanna did indeed hear the song the day he recorded it. For more on this you can watch this clip; or go to abc.com and search “Chris Brown Interview.”
Well tell me what you all think of this and comment please :D.

F— love,” Rihanna pleads to girls in her situation. Fentty also adds that she was “embarassing that’s the type of person I fell in love with,” referring to Brown. For more on this watch ABC’s 20/20 on Friday, November 6 at 10pm EST.

In other news, the highly anticipatated movie “This Is It,” starring none other than the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson made a reported 101 million dollars in the U.S., making it not only #1 in the box office, but the number one movie in the world. &&I’m Back :D

Hey guys, I’m finally back to write something new lol. I wasn’t really writing anything 4 the past 2 weeks, due to family, school and what not. But anyways,

Omarion responded to the people at Boombox about the “devilish” controversy in the music industry. If you haven’t heard already, singer Tiffany Evans spoke out about Rihanna’s song Russian Roulette, saying that the song implies people joining in the worship of the devil. (Although everyone is entitled to believe in what they want in my opinion). Omarion replied in said response: “I don’t personally know Rihanna’s beliefs but I think there’s a very dark and very sinister part of the entertainment business
and I think it’s very visible,” he said. “This is something that a lot of people don’t look at [but for example] Michael Jackson used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and I remember hearing that he wanted to separate from the religion — and this was during the time that he was doing ‘Thriller’ [which ended up being] his biggest album.”

“Fast forward to now,” Omarion continued, “[and] it really made me think that there is a [time as an artist] where there’s going to be a choice. The[entertainment] world [dictates] that you have to be with three or four women, or do this in order to get that [and] I think it’s really interesting. With God and the industry, it’s really dark. The dark side is having to get in, there’s a certain submission you need to have. Just like a gang [initiation], so to speak. You might have to do something against your moral code. I’m not saying that it’s always this way, but when you’re someone that is young and you’re coming up in the industry and you really don’t have a grip on your morals it can be very dark. The game is just about over saturation.

“I don’t know if Rihanna [has fallen victim to those pressures]. I’ve never really heard her speak about it,” he said. “I hope that she doesn’t believe in that stuff and I don’t think that she does, but I don’t know. It’s not just been a Rihanna thing, [there’s has been religious speculation] about a lot of artists.”

Hmm, this sounds interesting. The question is however; is Rihanna wrong for coming out with the song “Russian Roulette”, or do you think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion? Tell me what you think?
